Politics in Protest: United We Stand/Make Racists Afraid Again

On February 1st, 2017, two separate events took place on McGill campus to stand in solidarity with Muslims impacted by Islamophobia, discrimination and hate in the days before in both the United States and Canada, through the Muslim ban and Sainte-Foy terrorist attack, respectively. With differing views on the role of politics in protest, the events stirred up a conversation on how to best react to hateful ideologies and stand up against bigotry in all its forms.
